Up on the far off hills
covered with cyclamen
and dreams of heroic deeds
Oh, my whole life I'd sacrifice,
for an instant of youth to regain
and to love you again from the start,
My life, Oh my dearest heart:
To build a little nest for you
hidden in my breast
and shower you with kisses night and day
And then on November twenty two
with sounds of lute and violin
a mighty wedding feast took place.
With guests and family galore and parties to the stars!
Later as dawn so sweetly breaks
I asked four children to shower you
with birds and pretty flowers.
And then I step into the dance floor
swinging and swaying wildly
and now and then I turn to you and wink with secret meaning.
Upon the steps my foot you tread
and smash a pomegranate…
and then reward me with a kiss
...I have not had my fill of you
through thirty three long years!
