....Φίλοι μου, όπου και να συναντήσετε τον Έλληνα στην διασπορά θα τον βρείτε να σας περιμένει με ένα πλατύ χαμόγελο και μια πλούσια καρδιά φιλοξενίας!. Αν είναι γερουσιαστής ή επιστήμονας, ηθοποιός ή λογοτέχνης, απλός εργάτης ή "μύθος" των ειδήσεων -News legend- της αμερκάνικης τηλεόρασης και ραδιοφωνίας, φτωχός ή πλούσιος το ίδιο κάνει.. Θα σας μιλήσει σα να σας ξέρει από χρόνια.. Θα σας αγκαλιάσει σαν όπως η μάνα σας όταν γυρνούσατε στο χωριό.. Και με στοργή και την φροντίδα του αδελφού θα σας χαϊδέψει με το βλέμμα του από πάνω ως κάτω, θέλοντας να μάθει τα πιο πολλά για εσάς και αν είστε καλά!.

Και είναι καταπληκτικό σαν περπατάτε στους δρόμους των μεγαλουπόλεων.. και αν έχετε και την τύχη να βρίσκεστε κοντά στα αγαπημένα και φημισμένα στέκια του μετανάστη, καθώς εγώ που κάθε φορά όταν κατεβαίνω στο "Ελληνικό Χωριό" (The Greek Village) της Ντάνφορθ εδώ στο Τορόντο του Καναδά, είναι λες, και μέσα μου γίνεται σαματάς! Γίνεται Απρίλης και χαρά!!.. Λέτε και γνωρίζω τον κόσμο όλον!.. Kαι έχω την αίσθηση, θαρρείτε και περπατάω στα γνωστά και αγαπημένα μου σοκάκια τα Καρδαριτσιώτικα στα χρόνια που ήμουνα παιδί.., και το χωριό έσφυζε από ζωή και κόσμο.. Τα ίδια και εδώ..

Το σίγουρο είναι στον Έλληνα της διασποράς, σαν του μιλήσετε στην γλώσσα του ..πανηγυριώτικα και με καλοσύνη, εκείνος για εσάς, θα σφάξει και το ...γουρούνι!!.. Έτσι λέγανε οι παλιοί σε ένδειξη ενθουσιασμού για την καλή παρέα πάνω στο κέφι του γλεντιού.. (Tο χοιρινό ήταν τότε το κρέας για όλη την χρονιά στο σπίτι και το έσφαζαν στις απόκριες κάνοντάς το παστό.. Aλλά στο γλέντι απάνω κάθε τόσο) ο νοικοκύρης φώναζε: "Φέρτε κι' άλλο κρασί!! Να σφάξουμε και το γουρούνι!.." Εννοώντας τέτοια καλή παρέα που έχουμε, το γλέντι και η διασκέδαση να μην τελειώσουν ποτέ!!.. Τέτοια είναι πάντα και η καρδιά τ' Αϊ μετανάστη..
Χαιρετισμούς και να είστε πάντα καλά!
